Friends of Dorchester County Parks is ecstatic that voters issued a mandate for adequate park and recreation facilities in our communities when they overwhelmingly approved $13 million in capital funding for Dorchester County park development.  Specifically, these funds will be utilized for the development of Ashley River Park, Courthouse Park, Pine Trace Natural Area, and trail, bike, and pedestrian projects. Construction of the Courthouse Park is scheduled to begin later this summer with Ashley River Park following close behind! In the meantime, Friends of Dorchester County Parks will continue working to secure corporate and private gifts to support public park development and bring exclusive fundraising events to supporters!
